One recipe, six grades.
Every bar shares the same olive oil base, cook, and aging. The grades differ in one thing only: the share of laurel berry oil folded in at the end of the cook.
Pure Olive · 0%
Pure olive oil, no laurel at all — the mildest bar, for babies, sensitive skin, and everyday washing.
Gentle · 2%
A whisper of laurel over the olive base — gentle and lightly scented for daily use.
Everyday · 5%
The classic household bar — balanced laurel, the soap of Aleppo's kitchens and hammams.
Rich · 10%
A deeper green heart and a fuller scent — a favourite for hair and beard as much as skin.
Reserve · 20%
High in laurel — dense, long-lasting, and strongly herbal in character.
Royal · 40%
Our reserve grade — the densest, darkest bar, cooked in the smallest batches and aged longest.
Why laurel matters
More laurel, more of everything.
Laurel berry oil is what makes Aleppo soap Aleppo soap. It lathers softly, cleanses without stripping, and carries the herbal scent the city is known for. Higher ratios make a harder, longer-lasting bar with a stronger character.
All grades are cold-finished, unscented beyond their own oils, and free of palm oil, tallow, and synthetics. Naturally alkaline yet mild on skin, they contain no phosphates and are fully biodegradable.
